Installation Instructions Type 39130-1 Antenna |
Bulletin 2370460 |
Type 39130-1 antenna is designed for use in 9.5-11.0 GHz local distribution systems. It consists of a 2 ft. (0.6 m) diameter spun aluminum reflector with blinker assemblies, waveguide feed, and a mount for attachment to a 0.75-3 in (20-75 mm) diameter pipe. Adjustment range is 360° azimuth and +45°, -5° elevation. The feed mates with a CPR90G flange and may be positioned for either horizontal or vertical polarization. The antenna will survive winds of 100 mph (160 km/h) with 1/2 in (13 mm) of radial ice. The installation, maintenance or removal or antenna system requires qualified, experienced personnel. Andrew installation instructions have been written for such personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance and condition of equipment. Andrew disclaims any liability or responsiblity for the results of improper or unsafe installation practices. Thoroughly Before Assembly Step 1. Attach hose clamp to mounting pipe at height required. Hose clamp serves as support when mount is loosened for azimuth adjustment. Tighten two nuts together at end of long stud (to act as bolt head for easier assembly) and assemble pipe clamp above hose clamp on mounting pipe. See Figure 1. After all hardware is tightened, unlock nuts and remove one. Step 2. Bolt mounting angle to reflector seating ring using 5/16 in lock washers and nuts shown in Figure 2. Tighten connections. Connect assembly to pipe clamp using 1/2 in hardware as shown. Step 3. Insert feed from front of reflector and add clamps from rear. Use 1/4 by 3/4 in (19 mm) bolts and lock washers to attach clamps which will secure feed hub to seating ring. Tighten clamp bolts. See Figures 3 and 4. Feed has provision for continuous polarization. To change polarization, loosen clamp bolts then turn feed assembly to desired polarization. After adjustment tighten clamp bolts. |
