Installation of GDI+

GDI+ is the new technology developed by Microsoft. It provides rich set of additional graphics features for 3rd-party developers. GDI+ is part of Windows XP, while for other operating systems an additional redistributable file installation is required. You may found additional information about GDI+ on the Microsoft web-site.

GPSMap Edit uses GDI+ for image loading. Without GDI+ properly installed, all features of the program will be available except loading PNG and TIFF images.

(a) If your computer runs under Windows XP, no additional files are required: GDI+ is already available as a part of this operating system.
(b) If your computer runs under Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4.0 SP6 or Windows 2000, please copy the file gdiplus.dll to the same folder as mapedit.exe.
(c) Other operating systems are not supported by GDI+.
