Mark 0.5 Km,1.0 Km,1.5 Km, 2.0
Km, 3.0 Km, 4.0 Km and 5.0 Km circle in map from CBS Mast. Take four readings at
periphery of each circle covering different directions. In case of multiple CBSs
on the same Mast/Pole/Tower, pre-program one Wall Set with each CBS. A proper
mix of different types of calls of
WLL-WLL, WLL-PSTN and PSTN-WLL calls should be made during the coverage
and the readings should be recorded in the format given

Coverage during A/T should be at least for 90% of the Planned Coverage
area WITH 99% call success rate(ie. Max 10% planned area is allowed for black
spot + partial coverage). In case no Planned Coverage Document is available, the
results should be intimated to User for decision.

III
ACCEPTANCE TESTING PROCEDURE FOR CONDUCTION OF SERVICE QUALITY OF corDECT WLL SYSTEM
a)
Equipments
Required
1.
CBS 3
numbers
2.
Wall Set 24
numbers
3.
Splitter 3
numbers
4.
Attenuator 40~60 dB,
six numbers
5.
RF cables for
connection ,33 numbers
b)
Physical
Connectivity
-
connect the CBSs to the BUIC
boards through three pair copper cables
-
connect a dummy load to one of
the antennae ports of the CBS
-
From the second antennae port
of the CBS, through RF cable, connect to the splitter.
-
The Splitter is then connected
to two Attenuators, each capable of
connecting four Wall Sets.
-
The wall Set connectivity is
again through RF cables.
-
Physically loop two PMIC
boards.
( Please
refer to the Physical Connectivity diagram )
c)
Set-up
procedure
-
Disable all other CBSs and
PMIC boards which are not being utilized in
service Quality
-
The PSTN loop back call
is simulated with looping two PIMC boards. Here, all the ports of one PIMC is
configured as R2MF Outgoing and all the ports of the other PIMC board is
configured as R2MF Incoming.
-
A fictitious Route Code is
programmed with ROD=2 so that wall Sets can make loop back calls:
eg: XX-YYYY-ZZZ; where,
XX
= Fictitious
code
YYYY =
Exchange code
ZZZ
= Subs
number
-
In each CBS, four Wall Sets
are programmed to make Outgoing calls while the other four Wall Sets are
programmed to make Incoming calls
-
As the Wall Sets themselves
generate traffic, they are programmed to traffic mode with the following
settings:
Call Hold Time = 5
seconds
Time between calls = 2 seconds
- Here the
fixed mode calling pattern is only possible; i.e., one calling
number will call the same called number. Hence after
the first 25,000 calls, the traffic may be stopped and the calling/called
numbers swapped for the subsequent 25,000 calls.
-
During the second test cycle,
all active/std-by copies may be interchanged.
-
d)
Obsevations
to be taken during Service Quality test
-

-

e)
Fault Limit
-
A total of 50,000 calls are to
be run with permitted failure max. 15 calls.
NOTE:
The Service Quality Test may also be carried out without Splitter and Attenuator and with permissible failure max. 200 out of 20,000 calls.

Sub:- A/T Schedule for
600 K Rural WLL Systems
Based on the detailed discussions held in the meeting by DDG(RN)
with representatives of Vendors, TEC, QA and AT , the following decissions
have been taken
. 1.
Receiver Sensitivity , RF Frequency
Accuracy, Spurious Emission Tests and Full Band Operation in the field
for A/T purposes may not be carried out as these tests have already been carried out during QA Testing for all the
systems and results are not likely to change. 2.
As part of RF
Engineering and Network
Planning to be carried out by the vendor , A/T will check the Digital map
prepared by the vendor showing the predictable coverage with actual
parameters using Reverse Link. 3.
In view of meeting
commissioning schedule, A/T of
Rural WLL systems may
be carried out in two phases,
Equipment A/T and Coverage
A/T. The system may be deemed to be commissioned
after completion of equipment A/T and loaded followed by coverage A/T.
Coverage A/T for I & II
Phase systems should be completed by January 2002 and March 2002
respectively. 4.
Where ever physical
coverage is less than 90% of predictable coverage area, approval of BSNL
headquarter is required to be obtained. 5.
It is also requested
that suitable arrangements may be made to complete Equipment A/T of the
system within 15 days of its offer. All circles have been instructed to
extend necessary help to A/T
team for completion of A/T.
