Turn the power switch OFF. Locate the two clamp-fit,
terminal connectors on the left, inside the desicant
cansiter area (refer to
Section 2.1)
2.4.1 AC Power Connections
AC units can be connected into a standard 15 amp
power receptacle of the proper voltage. Make sure
the power circuit is properly grounded (see
Section 2.4.3).
Verify the power switch is OFF. Locate the two
terminal connectors on the left, inside the desiccant
canister area. The lower terminal connector is for
power connection. Wire as shown in the diagram.
Caution: Proper electrical connection is required.
It is suggested a licensed electrician be contracted to
connect the AC wiring to the unit. Failure to properly
connect the power wires could result in a dangerous
electrical shock hazard.
For equipment distributed in the European
Community, the power cord must be HAR or VDE
approved which is terminated in the appropriate
plug cap, allowing proper connection to AC power
in the country of destination.
For equipment distributed in the U.S. or Canada,
the power cord must be S, SJ 18 AWG or equivalent
with a NEMA 5-15 plug for 115 V units and
NEMA 6-15 plug for 230 V units. The cord must be
an NRTL listed cord set.
Remove 1/4-inch of insulation and insert wires into
slots in the terminal connector. Tighten the screw.
2.4.2 DC Power Connections
To avoid damage to the dehydrator, DC power
from an AC to DC converter must be:
Half-wave, or better, recitified
72 V maximum ripple
Constant voltage between 12 and 72 VDC
Verify the power switch is "OFF". Locate the two
terminal connectors on the left, inside the desiccant
cansister area. The lower terminal connector is for
power connection. Refer to the illustration. Use a
power supply of 12 VDC to 72 VDC with 15 VA
minimum. Power wiring is terminated at connector
TB-1.

For equipment distributed in the European
Community, the primary power wiring connection
to the terminal block for DC powered units shall be
made using insulated stranded, copper wire rated
at 300 volts and 80 degrees C minimum. Cross
section of each conductor shall be 1 mm2 minimum.
For equipment distributed in the U.S. and Canada,
the primary power wiring connection to the terminal
block for DC powered units shall be made
using UL recognized and CSA certified insulated
stranded copper wire rated at 300 volts and 80
degrees C minimum. Conductor size shall be 16
AWG minimum.
TB1 - Terminal 1 is positive (+);
TB1 - Terminal 2 is negative (-).
Remove 1/4-inch of insulation and insert wires
into slots. Polarity must be observed! Tighten
terminal screw.
