Bulletin 237043 |
The installation, maintenance or removal of antenna systems requires qualified, experienced personnel. Andrew installation instructions have been written for such personnel. Antenna systems should be inspected once a year by qualified personnel to verify proper installation, maintenance and condition of equipment. Andrew disclaims any liability or responsibility for the results of improper or unsafe installation practices. Thoroughly Before Assembly 2. Install New Radome. Position the new radome against the antenna shield with the flash symbol in the upper center as shown. Note: The bolt holes in the radome are arranged in a slightly smaller circle than the holes in the shield ring to provide for a stretch-fit installation. Insert the bolts through the front side of the radome and add the lock washers and nuts from the back side of the shield ring. Assemble this hardware loosely and then hand-tighten the bolts in a staggered pattern. Next tighten the bolts repeatedly with wrenches in the same staggered pattern, but no more than 1/2 turn each time. Form the flexible trim around the shield trim, starting at the bottom center. Then cut the trim at the overlap so that the two ends will tightly butt together. |
