3.1 Field installation of the Low Noise Converter(s) may be necessary if the unit(s) is not preassembled. If installation of the unit(s) is not applicable, disregard paragraphs 3.2 through 3.5 and continue installation with paragraph 3.6. Note: Installation of C/Ku band LNC(s) should be performed with hardware supplied with the LNC(s). However, it may be necessary to used hardware provided in 55219-229 hardware kit to install C band LNC(s) and 64757-75 hardware kit for installation of Ku band LNC(s). Customer-supplied flange adaptors, jumper cables, and/or cable connectors may also be required to properly install LNC(s) and connect corresponding 207092 cable assemblies. 3.2 Refer to Figure 3.2. Using supplied alien wrench, attach C-band LNC(s) to WR229 waveguide flange using appropriate flange gasket or half gasket, bolts, nuts and lock washers. Tighten mounting bolts evenly. Note: If necessary, use provided studs, washers and nuts as substitute mounting hardware for LNC at flange bolt holes |

1/4 in x 20 x 1.5 in long studs through bolt hole opposite
waveguide below and attach stud using 9999-57 1/4 in
nuts. Install LNC onto stud and secure using 9999-57
1/4 in nuts and washers. Complete installation using
hardware supplied with LNC hardware kit. 3.3 Connect matchmarked coaxial cables numbered 1 and 2 to LNC assembly(ies). 3.4 Using supplied alien wrench, attach Ku-band LNC(s) to WR75 waveguide flange using appropriate flange gasket or half gasket, bolts, nuts and lock washers. Tighten mounting hardware evenly. Note: If necessary, use supplied bolts, lock washers and nuts as substitute mounting hardware as shown. 3.5 Connect matchmarked coaxial cables numbered 3 and 4 to LNC assembly(ies). 3.6 Temporarily reinstall enclosure door. Attach hardware at corners only. |
